Register your Neighbourhood Association!

As part of HRM’s ongoing campaign to support great neighbourhoods, we are developing a Directory of Neighbourhood Associations which will be available for residents on myhrm.ca, and which will allow us to be in direct communication with your group.

  • Your association may do anything from organizing neighbourhood parties, events or activities, to working with your local councillors and government representatives on issues of concern.
  • Your neighbourhood association could also take the form of a condo association, a neighbourhood watch group, or a single-purpose group brought together to achieve a specific goal, like building a new playground.  We want to hear from you too!

If you would like to have your Neighbourhood listed on our directory please email us at myhrm@halifax.ca

If your neighbourhood does not have a neighbourhood association, check out How to start a Neighbourhood Association in our Neighbourhood Toolkit.

The Benefits...

We would also like to start listing any activities or information that you are involved with that would help to improve your neighbourhood, including listing your neighbourhood events in our new online calendar

Being listed in our directory will be an invaluable tool for newcomers moving to your neighbourhood - as well as a tool for recruiting current neighbours.

The directory will also allow neighbourhood associations to contact each other and provide opportunities for assocations to share successes with each other...including chatting online on our new facebook fan page.
